About Us

Who are we?

We are a group of scientists and artists exploring the capacity of the brain for growth, creativity, and resilience. A member of our team discovered the lynx gene which activates as we age and restricts plasticity: our ability to learn and change. We seek to increase neural plasticity through the practice of self-expression through art, music, storytelling, and dance.

Our performances will be an invitation, one we hope will be an inspiration to people to integrate self-expression and nurturing behavior in their own lives.

We are estranged from our thoughts and senses yet can develop certain proximity to them with the exploration of the unintelligible. Why does the interaction between the familiar and odd create new neurological connections? Why is it difficult to break out of routine even with the necessary mental fortitude? The will for self-expression is innate, but how do we make our own history?
